The long awaited successor to our popular BWG line of gimbal heads is nearly here. Demand by ultra-telephoto users (600-800mm+ natural focal length) has inspired us to create what we think is the best gimbal head available.

Requirements:
This product is intended for SIDEMOUNT gimbal heads (Jobu Jr. 2, BWG-LW, Kirk King Cobra, Mongoose, etc.).
A double-dovetail mounting plate is required for the quick release to function. Most modern mounting plates use double dovetails now (our own Surefoot plates, RRS, Kirk, Wimberley, etc.)
An off-shoe flash cord (or wireless adapter) is required.
An adapter is required for fit to the Nikon SC-29 off-shoe cord. This cord is different in shape and size than the SC-17 or SC-28 cords. Expected delivery date for our adapters is March 14th.

FIT:
This is the smallest flash bracket we make. It centers the flash approximately 3" from the mounting surface of the tripod collar-foot. This makes it suitable for 300mm F4, 100-400mm zoom, 400 F5.6 and other smaller lenses.

Very important for reducing "RED-EYE" in your subjects. Even small birds can show red-eye or at least unnatural looking hot-spots when a low-level flash is used.
The bracket is 11" tall placing most flashes approximately 12" away from the centre of the lens. For use with a telephoto lens and TOP-MOUNT gimbal style head (or any ballhead).
The quick-release system mounts to any arca-swiss compatible plate, including our own SureFoot Plates. You MUST use a double-dovetail plate, or an adapter on an older style plate.
A rubberized grip provides a more comfortable place to hold the bracket while positioning.
Extremely lightweight! Only 7.9oz (220 grams) Black anodized aircraft aluminum and all stainless steel hardware for extreme outdoor use.
REQUIRED: Mounts to off-camera shoe cords or remote slaves with a standard 1/4"-20 thread. (You must somehow connect the flash to the camera... keep that in mind!)

By popular demand, we have now introduced our 2nd generation lensplate for our Big-Glass customers. Specifically designed to fit monster-sized lenses like the 400mm F2.8, 500mm F4 and 600mm F4, this 7" long Arca-Swiss compatible plate gives you loads of fore-aft adjustment to balance your camera and lens. Specs: Length: 7" This plate comes with both one (1) 3/8" mounting bolt and two (2) 1/4" mounting bolts. NO Bushings are required. 2 Allen wrenches (1/8" and 5/32" are included). 2 Dead-stop bolts prevent sliding out of the Quick-Release Clamp. Hard anodized, sand-blasted finish for years of life.
